Team Benjamin is going to run the Columbus Marathon on October 16th! Dad will push Ben for the 26.2 mile race, and thus far 20 people will run either the half or full marathon with us all in an effort to support two great organizations, United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Cleveland and Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus.
Ben and our family have experienced so many wonderful things thanks to UCP. And we have had the support of many friends and supporters in Columbus every step of the way. For that reason, we decided we would run the Columbus Marathon to celebrate Ben’s accomplishments, but also the accomplishments of so many disabled children in Columbus thanks to Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Nationwide’s provides medical, therapy, diagnosis and treatment services to disabled children and their families all across central Ohio.
Crossing the finish line
The miracle of Ben is how relentless he is. He never gives up, even after being in a half body cast and recovery for 10 weeks during the summer. Our story is shared by so many disabled children and their families in Cleveland and Columbus. The Columbus Marathon gives us a great opportunity to celebrate these stories.
Please follow our effort at www.teambenjamin.org, facebook , and twitter. We are truly looking forward to this event and hope you will follow along and spread the word to your friends and family.
