Like other children his age, Ben started school in late August. This is Ben’s fourth year in the Avon School District’s “Soaring Little Eagles” program, which provides special education to children beginning at age 3. Ben spent two years in half day pre-school and now is entering his second year of all day kindergarten – each year in classes that include typical children but that also...Thank You!
From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank you for the tremendous support you showed us as we worked to raise money and awareness for United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Cleveland. Together, Team Benjamin raised over $40,000, which helped “Team UCP” raise almost $190,000 through its participation in the Cleveland Triathlon!! We were digging through videos of Benjamin and we found one where he sat up on his own for the first time, in 2007. Sitting up is a milestone usually reached by 8-12 month olds. Benjamin was 3-1/2 years old. United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Cleveland is once again the Official Charity of the Cleveland Triathlon, which will be held on Sunday, August 8th. This year will again see Matt and Ben running together during the 10k (6.2 miles) portion of the race. Team Benjamin is going to run the Columbus Marathon on October 16th! Dad will push Ben for the entire 26.2 mile trip to raise money and awareness for two great organizations that are changing the lives of disabled children and their families; United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Cleveland and Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus.
